Recreation District
Evergreen boasts two recreation centers that combined provide our community
with two indoor pools, a sauna and whirlpool, a gymnasium, a climbing pinnacle,
two weight rooms and a state of the art circuit training system, racquetball
and handball courts, child care and other facilities both indoor and outdoor.
Numerous instructional programs are available for all ages including gymnastics,
ballet, aerobatics, basketball, softball, tennis, soccer, scuba diving, arts
and crafts, and much, much more!
Evergreen Lake
The focal point of the community is a sparkling blue mountain lake that offers
fishing and boating in the summer and ice skating in the winter. A hiking
trail surrounds the lake and waterfall.
Skiing
There are over 20 different ski areas in Colorado, some within an hour of

. Cross Country skiing and snowshoeing are also extremely popular and can
be enjoyed in the many parks or even in your own back yard!
Golf
A municipal golf course is located west of Evergreen Lake. Hiwan Golf Club,
a private golf course, features one of the finest mountain golf courses
in the country.

schools, dance instruction, exercise studios, music instruction, horse clubs,
Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H Clubs, and Campfire Girls are a
few of the many activities available. Backpacking, four-wheeling and off-roading,
snowmobiling, camping, stream and lake fishing are all nearby. Movie theaters,
symphony and live theater performances, concerts. pro-football, basketball
and baseball, and amusement parks are all within easy access of Metro Denver.
